The Philip Kingsley Maximizer was sprayed all over Cate’s clean, wet hair, creating shiny and manageable strands. Hair was then sectioned off and spritzed from root to tip, applying more at the roots to give hair a nice bounce.

Next, hair was continuously brushed with a paddle brush starting at the hair line and working all the way down to the ends, until hair was straight and the Maximizer was evenly distributed throughout.

“I started drying with the ghd air™ hairdryer and brushing with the ghd paddle brush. I then separated her hair into 3 sections and finished drying with the ghd ceramic vented radial brush size 2 to create volume. To eliminate frizz I smoothed her hair with the new ghd white platinum™ styler. This amazing flat iron features ghd’s tri-zone™ technology which allows him to style hair at the optimal temperature of 365 degrees while also giving added shine. I next created a deep side part and braided a section all the way around the back of her head, leaving one section of her hair down. Once I finished the braid, I began pinning back pieces to create a loose style. ”

Before straightening, a small amount of the Philip Kingsley Minimizer was applied to the ends of the hair to eliminate any fly-aways and add a silky, smooth finish. Hair was then flat ironed in the same fashion it was blow dried, working from bottom to top.

Next, Robert created a deep part that was exaggerated to one side of her head and then worked the remaining hair down around the back into a pretty loose but firm braid, keeping in mind that it would loosen once the look was complete. Once the style was secured, a wispy look was created with a solid but not overdone amount of texture using the Philip Kingsley Texturizer. Random pieces around the face, top and side of the head were loosened, and small pieces were pulled out from the braid in a fluffing-like fashion. The looks was secured with bobby pins and set with the Philip Kingsley Weatherproof Hairspray.
