Few can pull off pink as well as Gwyneth Paltrow, and she looked positively radiant in her late-90s redux fashion look last night. Leslie Lopez for Dior Beauty and ghd Brand Ambassador David Babaii comprised her beauty dream team. Here’s how to get Gwyneth’s Golden Globes makeup and hair.

MAKEUP

Says Leslie, “My inspiration was the bubblegum pink dress – I didn’t want to overdo it on the eyes to compete with the dress, so I used a sheer layer of the silver shade in the beautiful Dior Versailles palette, which was perfect, and then a couple coats of Diorshow mascara. For her skin, she loves Diorskin Airflash and I apply it with a brush – I used shade #400 after applying the lightest concealer under her eyes, to make her look more sun-kissed. For the lip, I used a combination and tried a few different ones before we ended up going with the new Rouge Brillant – we wanted it to match the dress, but not look too matchy-matchy.”

HAIR

David Babaii was inspired by a ’70s Playboy Bunny, with glamorously chic waves. Gwyneth is known for her iconic straight hair, but for tonight’s Golden Globe’s we aimed to mix it up and have a little fun.”

Blow dry hair using the ghd air™ hairdryer and a round brush. Create an off-center part and divide into 3 sections: two in the front and one in the back. Starting at the back and working forward, take different sized sections and curl hair using the ghd curve™ soft curl iron. The 1.25” barrel creates voluminous, soft polished waves. After each piece, release the curl and stretch it out for 2-3 seconds. Continue all the way to the top alternating the direction of the curl. With ghd’s patented tri-zone™ technology, I was able to create this style in less than 30 minutes for hair that will stay shiny and smooth all night. For the top sections, don’t curl the hair all the way to the root, only the bottom half of the shaft. To finish, apply dime-sized amount of ghd Smooth & Finish Serum to the hands and run through the hair, then brush out the hair with a wide tooth comb to loosen the waves.”
