Met Ball 2013 Makeup: Kate Bosworth

Pati Dubroff did the makeup honors for the gorgeous Kate Bosworth at last night’s Met Ball.

Says Dubroff, “I looked at a lot of pictures of Debbie Harry. Debbie was definitely Punk, but always pretty and cool. I wanted the same vibe for Kate. All about a strong eye and a pop of killer gold.” Here’s how to recreate the look, straight from Dubroff.

FOUNDATION
“Kate needs hardly any foundation. I used CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 to even her skin with a glow.
BLUSH
Just like Debbie in the 80’s, I used the blush high on the temple, a dusting of hot pink CHANEL Powder Blush in Pink Explosion
EYELINER
I used a charcoal pencil, CHANEL Le Crayon Yeux Precision Eye Definer in Gris Scintillant, to draw the elongated cat eye and then blended and smudged the lines.
EYE SHADOW
On the center and inner lid, I used CHANEL Limited Edition Stylo Eyeshadow in Cool Gold and to add more “bling” I used CHANEL Illusion d’Ombre in Apparance and Vision, so that the gold is the big statement. Then, on the corners of eye I added a triangle of CHANEL Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Black Shimmer.
MASCARA
I applied a good dose of Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir
LIPS
The lips were kept simple with a hint of natural pink, using CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine in Parfait.”
What do you think of Kate Bosworth’s gilded-lidded look?

Her look is so elegant & beautiful 🙂 I went to the Chanel counter today, and they told me the lip shine color in parfait is incorrect- not the color used in this look. Could you please list the actual lip color(s)used?
    Thanks so much!
