When you wear all black, the world is your beauty oyster, and the gorgeous Alison Brie drew inspiration from Audrey Hepburn last night at the Golden Globe Awards. Celebrity hairstylist Peter Butler used Leonor Greyl products to create the red carpet look for the Best-Actress in a Musical or Comedy TV Series nominee at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards.
“Alison looks like a modern Audrey Hepburn tonight in a red lip, clean eye, a waterfall Bulgari necklace and snake watch and what appears to be a black gown—but is actually a tight, black bodice and wide-legged trousers. So, we went with an Audrey-inspired top knot and side-swept bangs, and I hair-sprayed the updo within an inch of its life because Alison’s hair is cut into a shag for GLOW, and I didn’t want any pieces to spring loose. I even gave Alison a few Bobbi pins to tuck into her bag in case she needs them later on. She looks incredibly elegant.” Here’s how to get the look.
“I started by misting Leonor Greyl Spray Structure Naturelle over clean, damp hair, then used a Mason Pearson brush to give Alison a simple blowout. She has a perm for GLOW, plus lots of short, choppy layers at the moment, so we wanted to smooth things out as much as possible.”
“Next, I took my largest barrel curling iron and used it to further smooth and tame the hair. Then I ran a pea-sized drop of Leonor Greyl Eclat Naturel through her hair for shine and control.”
“I pulled the hair up into as high a top knot as I could without having any layers pop free, and I left the bangs down and side-swept. Then I doused her hair with Leonor Greyl Laque Souple to make it all stay put.”
