Celebrity Makeup Artist Kayleen McAdams “wanted Rachel’s look to be a little sexy, a little sultry. I think Rachel was going against the grain, choosing the slinky dress that she did. We wanted to keep those clean lines, and to give her eyes the same pop that her dress had.” Here, the beauty breakdown, in her words.
FACE
“I used CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 to create a healthy glow. I applied foundation in layers, really buffing it in with a blending brush, then adding slightly more with a small Beautyblender. I applied CHANEL Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base to contour, especially in the hollows of her cheeks. It wasn’t about it being perfect, but I just wanted a sun-kissed effect.
EYES
I also used CHANEL Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base in the eye crease and along the lower lashline to tie the look together; I sometimes use face makeup on the eyes for a blended effect. Then I popped the look with CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Griffith Green. The color was perfection! I kept the shadow really tight to the lashline, then applied two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara Noir on the top and bottom lashes.
LIPS
We really wanted the focus to be on the eyes. For the lips, we just wanted to enhance her natural color. I prepped with lip balm, then used CHANEL Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lipshine in Conte. I love the beautiful, sheer texture.”
