Last month when Amber and I binged-watched Younger, we couldn’t stop commenting on the hair. All the girls have “cool-girl” hair. Chic braids, lived in looks, and half-buns. I could spend all day on this Pinterest board.
If you aren’t familiar with the show, Liza is the main character. She lives in Williamsburg, in a loft with her artist best friend and has the hottest 26 year old tattooed boyfriend. She works in publishing and went to a grass roots festival in last week’s episode. She couldn’t be more Brooklyn and therefore I can’t imagine a better place for her and her friends to catch up than Amika Styleblow.
amika styleblow is a styling only locale, exclusively offering blowouts, updos and down-dos. Their menu of looks is cleverly filled with styles named after New York neighborhoods. They also have a killer neon sign that says GIRL GIRLS GIRLS.
I went for the Gramercy, but the Lower East Side look screams Kelsey.
