Your Winter Skin Care Guide

It’s time to break out the big guns, skin-care wise, now that we’ve officially entered a winter of Game Of Thrones proportions. Here’s how to score super sultry skin.

Murad Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence ($78) An in between cleansing and moisturizing step, perfect for the windiest of days.

Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment Simply the best, better than all the rest, in the sage words of Tina T. Slather it on under your favorite moisturizer for a brightening effect.

It Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream ($48) A thick, hydrating cream that will protect against the elements with a lovely light lemongrass scent and a texture that belies its reasonable price point. Get INTO It Cosmetics’ first foray into skin care.

Marlowe No. 022 Body Butter ($10) This apothecary-chic brand comes without the apothecary-chic price tag. This body butter is one of the best I’ve tried, ever.

Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Night ($52) I mix this with my self-tanner and slather it on my face, neck and dec and wake up smoother, brighter and glowier.

Kiehl’s Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Mask ($32) Cilantro is polarizing: You either love it or hate it. This mask, however, is not. Slather it on for 15, wash it off, experience brighter, less congested skin.

Tatcha Luminous Overnight Memory Serum I actually like to use this bouncy-textured solid serum under makeup during the day to create a flawless canvas for makeup. My mom tried to snag this crazy condensed formula from me the last time she was in NYC and I SAID NO. Okay? Get into this.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser ($18) “Conditioning” and “face cleanser” is sort of a “never the twain shall meet” situation. The two words are rarely used on the same product, but the effect is simply marvelous. Use it wet or dry to cleanse skin without stripping.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash Now that microbeads have been banned, amp up sloughing qualities in your cleanser, like this glycolic- and lactic-acid spiked wash.

Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Peel ($88, not pictured) Use this overnight 2-3 times a week to increase cell turnover and stimulate that collagen. Plus, it’s only one step (no neutralizing needed). Ferulic = the key to looking fierce.

Sabon Mud Mask ($40, not pictured) This Dead Sea mineral-infused treatment acts as a sort of “oil change” for my somehow still slightly oily skin, even in Jonas weather. I like to apply it before stepping into the bath. DIY spa day in a flash.

rouge18, I like the products that you listed to help with dry, winter skin. I currently live in a very cold and dry area during the winter. I could probably use a few of these products myself.
