All About Amy Schumer’s Serious Smoldering Golden Globes Makeup

Andrea Tiller for Sephora Collection created funny gal Amy Schumer’s Golden Globes gorgeous makeup last night. Beautywise, I think this was her best, no? “Amy’s black and white gown was elegant and sleek – it reminded me of the 1950’s classic type of style. We wanted to keep her makeup elegant yet sexy, with a smoldering emphasis on her eyes using a mix of shimmering silver and steel shadows and full, luscious lashes,” said Andrea.

We started with the Sephora Collection Glitterguard 24HR Eyeshadow Primer so Amy’s sparkling look would last all night.  To create the feline shaped smoky winged liner on the upper lash line, we used shadows from the Sephora Collection Colorful 5 Eyeshadow Palette in N01 Uptown To Downtown Smoky to emphasize the eyes. We defined the eyes using the Sephora Collection Diamond Liner in 02 Cushion Cut on the upper lash line and the Sephora Collection Contour Matte Gel Eyeliner in 03 Steel-ing Hearts on the waterline. To really make Amy’s icy blue eyes pop, we added the shimmering silver shade from the Colorful 5 Palette to the inner corners of her eyes, wrapping under the bottom lashes.

Next, we curled the lashes with the Sephora Collection Show Curl Lash Curler to open the eyes and stacked the Sephora Collection False Eye Lashes in Regal and Celebrity to add some drama to the look. We blended her luscious lashes and finished the eyes with a few coats of the Sephora Collection Outrageous Volume Dramatic Volume Waterproof Mascara.

The lips were lined and filled in with the Sephora Collection Liner To Go in 13 Pink Beige so Amy didn’t have to worry about reapplying throughout the night. We kept the lips soft and natural by adding the Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel in 05 Rose Petal. The gloss was the perfect shade to accentuate her natural lip color. We wanted her skin to stay luminous and fresh, so we prepped with the Sephora Collection Eye Mask and Face Mask in Rose to brighten and moisturize the skin. We primed the skin with the Sephora Collection Perfecting Ultra-Smoothing Primer to create a smooth canvas and then applied thin layers of the Sephora Collection 10 Hour Wear Perfection Foundation to the skin using the Sephora Collection Classic Sheer Complexion #11 Brush. For an airbrushed, flawless look, we and blended and buffed the foundation using the Multitasker Powder Brush #45. Then, we used the Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Concealer under the eyes and on her t-zone in a shade lighter than her natural skin tone to brighten and highlight the skin. We set the complexion with the Sephora Collection 8hr Mattifying Compact Foundation using the Sephora Collection Pro Airbrush #55 to ensure a shine-free finish. Using the Sephora Collection hakuho-do + SEPHORA PRO Wedge Sloping Powder Brush (Kusabi), we buffed the Sephora Collection Bronzing Powder in 4 Fiji over and under her cheekbones to contour and give her a sun kissed look.

To finish Amy’s glowing skin, we applied a pop of rose color to the cheeks using the Sephora Collection MicroSmooth Baked Blush Duo in 05 Tea Rose Tickle for a fresh, luminous look.”
