I’m a big fan of the original incarnation of this mascara (I love the choose-your-own adventure quality of the dual-wiper system) so I was looking forward to test-driving their waterproof version. I usually shy away from waterproof mazzies because they can be brittle, hard to remove and sometimes not all that waterproof.

I tried this one out while on vacation in the Dominican Republic and was happy to notice that the formula went on similarly to it’s predecessor; full, fluffy and long  (with the “wiped” brush) and thick, dense and winged-out (with the full power brush.) I suntanned and splashed in the ocean and reapplied sunscreen everything 45 minutes and I never found the mascara to run or flake or transfer.

I obviously needed eye makeup remover at the end of the day but DUH! Waterproof! Buy this one!
