Hairstylist Ryan Trygstad created Emmy Rossum’s old Hollywood-inspired finger waved hairstyle at the MET Ball 2014 last night. I thought it was the perfect nod to the evening’s traditional Charles James-homage theme. Here, the beauty breakdown.
“I first started by blow drying Emmys hair Using the CHI Volume Booster spray to add hold and shine to her naturally very curly hair. I then started flat-ironing most of the head using the CHI G2 flat iron. Then with the front section I created a retro wave with the CHI ARC curling iron, making a soft finger wave. Next I used the CHI Pliable Polish to make the sides, and the chignon look almost wet or gelled looking. I wanted the hair to look like glass!
Once I was done creating the low twist, I added the CHI Infra Texture Hairspray, to assure that the hair could mold and move without any fly-always. Finally I set the wavy front section with the same spray, and pinned the section into place. Once all the pinning was secured I sprayed the entire head with CHI Shine Infusion for even more high shine! And a once over with the CHI Helmet Head, to make sure not a hair would move the entire night.”
What do you think of Emmy Rossum’s ‘do?
