Artistry’s Signature Eyes Volume Mascara ($26) has a very clean black and silver package with a classic full-Christmas-tree-shaped brush. One coat is very very light, but there’s a lot of playtime to build up the product on the lash.  There wasn’t a ton of build-up with a second coat, but there were subtle clumps at the roots with spiky tapered tips.

While I always go for an afternoon touch-up, I could tell my 10am that that wasn’t going to happen; the formula was flaky and had sprinkled across my under-eyes. (A special thank you to everyone I encountered that didn’t tell me I had mascara snow all over my face…RUDE!) The only plus is that it washed off easily with soap and water at the end of the day.  However, I wouldn’t buy this one.–Ashleigh Ciucci
