Eskimos have more than 200 words for snow and you can come up with as many lipstick combos if you hit up the Bite Beauty Custom Lipstick Bar at the brand’s new retail location at 174 Prince Street in New York City. Previously, the brand had been exclusive to Sephora since launching in 2011.

At the new pop-up, Bite’s staff will help you build a custom lipstick creation. Blend a personalized pigment, then select a matte or sheer finish. You can even drop in a flavor, if you so choose (cherry, mint, or berry).

Then, they’ll use their lipstick machine and mix, pour, paint, and mold your custom color in just ten minutes at their lab. No appointment necessary. It’s all VERY Bunsen Honeydew. Come by the pop-up any time through Sunday, 11am to 7pm. In fall, the space will be converted to a permanent store.

The quality is EXCELLENT; Bite Beauty is one of my favorite lipstick brands. It’s longlasting with a great texture/glide and it’s made with good-for-your-skin ingredients.
