Makeup: Rachel McAdams At ‘To The Wonder’ Premiere

Makeup artist (and sister of Rachel) Kayleen McAdams created Rachel McAdamsfresh-with-a-pop-of-color-on-the-lips makeup look for the premiere of To the Wonder on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in Los Angeles. Says Kayleen, “The evening was very relaxed and casual, so I wanted Rachel’s makeup to look soft and fresh.” Read on to get the look.

FACE
I applied Estee Lauder Maximum Coverage Foundation to Rachel’s skin, and then used Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in Pearl where I wanted light to reflect – cheekbones, nose, cupid’s bow. I used Bobbi Brown Concealer just under the eyes –  Rachel doesn’t have any blemishes so no need for it anywhere else on the face! The Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Palette in Intensity Two was used to contour and highlight Rachel’s skin. I applied the highlighter to the tops of the cheekbones, and the contour shade I used to define her cheeks and on her forehead. NARS Multiple in Puerto Vallarta was applied on the apples of her cheeks, and after applying there I used the little bit of excess on the brush to sweep along her nose, forehead and brow bone.
EYES
“I defined the brows with Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde. On lids, I used Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Cotton all over to act as a primer.  Then, I applied the shimmery beige shade from the Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad in Golden Mink on the outer corner of her eyes and along the bottom lash line.  Finally, I finished the eyes with CK One Mascara in Show.”
LIPS
“The look was completed with a bright pop of color on the lips – a combination of Bite Beauty Matte Cream Lipstick in Pastille Lavender and Pastille Violet.”
