Annndd from the former Mrs. Draper’s hairstyle to the current Mrs. Draper’s ‘do, we have the beautiful Jessica Pare‘s hairstyle for the Mad Men Season Six premiere, courtesy of Marcus Francis. Says Francis, “Jessica and I love to collaborate to make each hairstyle we do different from the last. Feeling a style more sleek and worn down, it helped balance the very feminine feel of the dress and make it look modern and sexy, reminiscent to the 80s music video “Addicted to Love” by Robert Palmer.” To quote Palmer’s other hit song, I find the look “Simply Irresistible.” Here’s how to get the look, straight from Francis.
On damp hair, use a tail comb and create a center part to the crown of your head. Apply Phytovolume Actif spray from roots to ends and blow dry hair with a medium size round brush.
Use a one-inch flat iron and smooth out the hair for a finished look. Lightly tease the crown for a subtle affect of fullness at the top. Smooth out with a bristle paddle brush, like a Mason Pearson.
Before pulling hair back into a ponytail, use a few pumps of a flexible hairspray like Moroccan Oil Structuring Mist. Pull the hair down to a low ponytail at the nape of the neck and secure with an elastic. For shine and to tame any flyways, use a dime size amount of Oribe Supershine cream to the top as well as the ponytail.
