Ted Gibson created Ashley Greene‘s retro ravishing hairstyle for last night’s amfar Gala. Here, the deets on how to get the look, directly from the mane man himself.

“Doing Ashleys hair tonight was so much fun. We talked about what we were going to do and Rita Hayworth came to mind. She wore a Giambattista Valli white sexy dress with a cutout in the middle of it. It was super sexy and super Hollywood. I wanted my muse to be softly coiffed but not too contrived.

I used Build It Blowdrying Agent all over her entire head and hairsheet styling on the ends to smooth them. I then blow-dried her hair with a flat brush to smooth out any roughness in the hair. Next I used a medium sized curling iron for a beautiful curl set. As I curled I pinned so that the hair could cool. I brushed with a dual brush to smooth and refine the waves. I secured the waves with beautiful hold hairspray right before she walked out the door to hold everything in place. Hollywood gorgeous!”
