Official Mascara Correspondent‘s lash lengthener of choice this week? LORAC Pro Lengthening and Thickening Mascara. Here, her review.

It’s impossible to not mention the shape of the brush on this mascara right off the bat; its large teardrop shaped brush is unlike any brush I’ve seen. I often think that funky brush shapes are gimmicky, but this brush actually lives up to it’s expectations.

 With one coat, I could see that the shape of the brush aided in the application of the product. The fat end of the teardrop applies more product to the outside corner of the eye and the tip applies less product to the inner corner of the eye. There was major flare on the outside corner of the eye and the inner corner’s lashes were evenly coated and combed through. The overall look with just one coat offered curl, thickness at the roots and tapered tips. Another coat (maybe not even necessary!) offered more length and curl. The product gripped well to the first coat and built nicely.

 When I touched up before cocktails in the evening, I got a near-false-lash look: super length and density at the roots. While I needed eye makeup remover at the end of the night, it wouldn’t deter me from recommending this one! One of my new faves!–Ashleigh Ciucci
