I think we’ll be talking about Kat Dennings‘ epic lip look at the Emmys for seasons to come, don’t you? Makeup artist Beau Nelson spills the details on how he created this look for her.

“Kat loves a dramatic lip, and for the Emmy’s we thought pairing that with a nude eye with an emphasis on the lashes would be beautiful and modern looking.”

To get the look: “I prepped Kat’s skin using NARS skin products and then applied Tom Ford Brightening Primer. I used Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in #2 and Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage to even her skin tone and cover any redness. I used MAC Blush in Taupe under cheekbones and then applied Tom Ford Lip and Cheek Stain in Tainted Love to the apples of the cheek and blended. On her eyes I used NARS Eyeshadow Duo in All About Eve and then applied several coats of L’Oreal Carbon Black Mascara. I defined her lips using the NARS Lip Pencil in Amazon and then applied Hourglass Cosmetics Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Icon.”
