Today, I left at the crack of dawn on a flight to Honolulu to reunite with my gals Erika and Julia for the lovely Kristen‘s wedding and I cannot WAIT. Last night, however, consisted of me decanting pretty much all of my vital hair products into travel-friendly, 3-ounce containers. Allow me to channel Chaucer when I hail this my Decant-urbery Tales. Remember The Canterbury Tales, BTW? I always remember reading it in high school, with its stories of the pilgrimages of a knight, a miller, a monk, etc. One of the most clever writing assignments of my life (present day included) was my favorite late English teacher Mrs. Patterson (whom I’ve written about before) to write a tale in Chaucer-esque language introducing a pop culture/advertisement character. I chose the Pillsbury Doughboy and it was EVERYTHING. Anyway. Here’s what I was decanting.

I know what I’m up against, hairwise, in Hawaii. The frizz will be biblical, so I’m employing my new favorite hair care combo, Avon Advance Techniques 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner and treating my hair before letting it air-dry (except for my front sections, let’s not get crazy) with a bit of the Avon Advance Techniques 360 Moroccan Argan Oil Leave-in Treatment. The deeply hydrating oil is infused throughout all three products, leaving me with lustrous, silky hair that’ll even hold up in the most humid of climes–and it’ll have to. I’m planning to wear my hair down to this outdoor tropical nuptial ceremony. I only wish it came in a travel size, but not to worry–I’ve decanted enough to last me ten days. I de-can’t even!
