Kim Kardashian! |
Kim Kardashian traded in her signature dusky locks for a lighter hue on Friday. Kim paid Joico’s celebrity hair stylist George Papinoklas a visit at Andy Lecompte Salon in West Hollywood. Want to get the look? Here’s the scoop, straight from George, who’s tended to the famed mane of Britney Spears, among other starlets.

“I changed her from her traditional dark brown, to a more fashionable Glossy Chocolate Brown. I softened her natural black hair color to a Dark Chocolate with Joico’s Base Breaker which lightens the hair 1 level with little warmth, then used balayage highlights to add rich chocolate pieces around her face and ends of hair. The result is a low maintenance graduation of color from Deep Dark Chocolate to Luscious Milk Chocolate ends. The tone on tone hue is the most sophisticated choice for brunettes, and it’s important to protect the hair color to keep it rich and luxurious. Use Joico’s K-Pak Color Therapy to prevent fading, and Joico’s Revitalux for shine and softness.”
Base Color: Joico’s Base Breaker
Highlights: Vero Light
Gloss: Joico Chrome 1/2 N6 1/2 N8
Shampoo: Joico’s K-Pak Color Therapy
Conditioner: Joico’s Revitalux
George suggests maintaining a steady routine with Joico’s K-Pak RevitaLuxe treatment to keep color glossy and fresh. It’s one of my favorite hair hydrators, as well.
What are your thoughts on Kim Kardashian’s new hair color?
she didn’t look all that great the last time she went lighter so i’m thinking that i won’t like this either.
she needs to stop having these men change her to be more “fashionable” as both this hair dresser and kanye claim to be doing when they are making her look worse and all she has going for her are her looks as her “talent” so she should keep it tight. come on kim, stay gorgeous
Wow, I wish I could see it better. I’m sure she still looks gorgeous and the color, from what I can tell, is very pretty. It is so hard to change your hair color. I grew up a blond, then went died it dark in my twenties, decided to go back to blond in my thirties, and then went back to a dark color in my forties 🙂 Thank goodness for hair color!
