Ginnifer Goodwin‘s pop of pink amidst a slightly shimmery white-adorned eye is a look I’ll definitely be copying for summer. Makeup artist Pati Dubroff created Ginnifer’s look for the Young Hollywood Awards. Here, the inspiration and how to recreate this one on your own.
Says Pati, “Ginny wore a very sweet white lace dress with some naughty shoes! We wanted to do a pop of super bright color. For the lips we used a pop brightest possible pink, bordering on neon.”
Ginny’s skin is so perfect, I used the most minimal amount of foundation, just to make it look creamy. For the eyes, I used Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte on lids to create a matte dense pale base. To add a pop of pure shine on center of lid, I applied CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre in Fantasme. To give the eye drama without any hard lines, I used a sweet light strip lash with one coat of mascara. On the cheeks, a soft sweep of cream blush, Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Glow in Pravella.
The lip is the big focus. For the base I used NARS Pur Matte Lipstick in Carthage topped with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Queen. This product is to add another layer of super bright vivid color, it’s not about the shine – it’s about the shock of color.”
