Get The Look: Taylor Swift At The 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards

Doesn’t Taylor Swift look positively POSH at the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards? Makeup artist Lorrie Turk created the songbird’s makeup concept. Here, how to get the look. In Lorrie’s words:

“Taylor and I decided that her look should be truly timeless, since she was accepting an award from the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. It was important that when she looks at a photo of this moment 25 years from now, the makeup look would stand the test of time.  Her classically-styled dress by Maria Lucia Hohan was neutral in color so we opted for a bright coral lip and a pretty flushed cheek for a pop of color.
I first brushed on COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation only where needed so that Taylor’s beautiful complexion would show through. I then brushed on COVERGIRL Instant Cheekbones Contouring Blush in Peach Perfection to add to her natural flush.
I applied the lightest color in the COVERGIRL Exact Eyelights Eyeshadow quad in Vibrant Browns from lashline to brow bone and used the bronze color in the crease to warm up Taylor’s eyes and make their blue stand out.  I smudged COVERGIRL Exact Eyelights Eyeliner in Vibrant Pearl, a rich black color, along her top lashline and used Radiant Sapphire on the lower lashline.  I finished the eyes by brushing on loads of COVERGIRL LashBlast 24 Hour Mascara in Very Black on the upper and lower lashes.
Using a lip brush, I applied COVERGIRL Blast Flipstick Lipcolor in Cheeky.”

Wow, love her hair! I’m tagging that photo for the next time I get my hair done! I want bangs like that. I’d love to know what lippy color she’s wearing…so pretty as we have the exact same coloring. Loving your blog!!
