Gita Bass created Tina Fey‘s gorgeous, classic makeup look for the 2012 Oscars last night. Here, the deets and inspiration behind this funny gal’s red carpet moment. In the words of Gita:
“We wanted the look to be old hollywood with a modern twist, which meant glowing skin and a soft cat eye.
Her skin was prepped with Amore Pacific Time Response Renewal Creme and Time Response eye Renewal-this keeps the skin hydrated and glowing and provides a perfect canvas for makeup.
The foundation was Armani Luminous Silk no 5 with Dior SkinFlash under the eyes and on cheekbones.
For perfectly groomed brows I used Anastasia Perfect Brow pencil in Medium Brown and dusted the brow powder duo in the same color over the top.
For a cat eye that stays put all night I start with Elizabeth Arden smokey eyes powder pencil in smoky black to form the line, and then trace Maybelline Master Precise liquid liner over the top. I curled her lashes and applied several coats of YSL Mascara Aquaresistant in Black Abyss
For sculpted cheekbones I blended Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base under the cheekbones. I applied Stila convertible color in Peony on the apples of the cheeks and layered Dior blush Glowing Powder Blush in English Rose over the top.
Her lips were defined with Makeup Forever Aqua Lip in Rosewood with Tom Ford Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Sugar Pink.”
I thought Tina had a personal beauty best. What say you about Tina Fey’s 2012 Oscars makeup?
