Fictionary: Talon-ted

Fictionary is a column showcasing beauty-related words that don’t exist, but should.

I envy those who can paint on wild nail art with reckless abandon. I’ll never be that girl with the steady hand. Alas, I’ve mastered the self-manicure (though I can never hold a candle to the talon-ted Michelle). Talon-ted is this week’s Fictionary entry and it means being skilled at freehand nail art.

And for those (like moi) who aren’t talon-ted? There’s  the new Color Club Bewitching Collection Kit ($14), featuring four mini lacquers (Bewitching, a snazzy black; Charmed I’m Sure, a hot purple; Spellbound, a bright orange; and Hocus Pocus, a sparkly silver glitter) and decals for easy-to-apply spooktacular tips.

Incidentally, I have no idea why the majority of the Fictionary column is nail-related words. Perhaps in the same manner that Eskimos have over 200 words for snow, I have multiple names to express my love of paraphernailia. Call it varnacular.

Okay, I’m done.
