Confession: I start every day with a quick trip to see what’s on Bergdorf Goodman‘s Shoe of the Day page.
A few days ago, the featured south-of-your-ankles gem was this pair of DEVASTATING Christian Louboutin Sequin-Scale Very Prive Pumps. At $1195, these are quite obviously out of my price range (that is, if I’d like to continue paying my rent). And even though Christian Louboutins are notoriously uncomfortable–so much so that wearers of the shoe confections actually told Christian Louboutin himself at the MET Costume Institute Gala a few weeks ago–I would still give my eyeteeth to rock these.
Why? Because in the sage words of my gal Samantha Fair (daughter of the fabled S.S. Fair), “Sometimes looking like a whore is more important than walking.”
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Disclosure: I sure as hellfire don’t own these, much as I’d like to.
I have these…and they are really uncomfortable, I would rather take off one of my toes than return them, though. 🙂
