Best Oscars 2010 Hairstyles and Beauty Trends

The red carpet moment of the year, the 2010 Oscars is like the prom night of Hollywood. From Twilight-pale beauties (yay for embracing copy-paper white complexions and eschewing the ubiquitous orange spray tan) to Veronica Lake waves and lashes for days, five celebrity hairstyle and makeup looks in particular blew our hair back.

Best Actress winner Sandra Bullock wore a sleek, strong side-parted hairstyle that brought out the reflective shine of her brunette locks. The ends of her hair were softly waved for a bit of oomph. Pinky-red lips, a defined brow and dramatic lashes rounded out the look.

Kate Winslet channeled Old Hollywood glamor perfectly with her lightened blonde hairstyle. Peach-pink lipstick and blush complimented her sexy-than-usual hairstyle. Mauve eyeshadow enhanced by major lashes complete the effect. We’re loving Kate’s unexpected turn from her typical demure beauty look.

Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana was, once again, a red carpet favorite with her volumized updo hairstyle and smokey eye and nude lip combination. Zoe’s simple, yet elegant drop diamond earrings add a sense of occasion to her subtly elegant hairstyle and makeup. Tight, close-to-the-lashes black liner and a glossed up lip make this beauty look infinitely wearable.

Cameron Diaz brought her beauty A-game this time. No stranger to a red lip, this time Cameron paired hers with a bouncy waved hairstyle pulled over to one shoulder and minimal eye makeup, save for a flirty fringe of lashes.Softly pink cheeks warm up this fun and flirty Oscar look.

Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams can always be counted on to bring the beauty. This season, Rachel sparkled in watercolor-inspired pink eyeshadow that was tempered with a touch of slate shadow near the inner corners of the eye. Rachel even commissioned her sister, makeup artist Kayleen McAdams to create her makeup look. An updo hairstyle with ample volume at the roots completed the look.
