I don’t know about you, but the urge to polish my nails usually strikes at 11pm. Which, as you know, is bad idea jeans because when you polish too close to bedtime, all your careful work is for naught: your nails will press against your sheets and be ruined by morning. I was convinced that if I was “mani-hungry” post 11pm, I’d simply have “starve” my nails until the next day. Not anymore! Enter Sally Hansen’s genius Color Quick Fast Dry Nail Color Pen, $8.
I have to declare this little gem PHENOM, dolls. It comes in eight shades (I am loving it in Sheer Pink). You shake it, click it until you see the color appear on the brush, and then polish. The brush is larger and stiffer than your standard issue nail polish brush housed in a bottle, but is still pretty easy to navigate. Just be careful not to over-click, because you’ll have nowhere to wipe off the excess. It dries FULLY in less than ten minutes. It’s a bit more of a matte finish than I like normally, but when it comes down to semi-matte pink nails vs. naked blah nails, I’ll take semi-matte pink any day. Perfect for keeping in your purse for touch ups. I have to agree with the Beauty Addict, though. I’d love to see them come out with a base coat/top coat pen, as well. Until then, I simply top it with some quick-dry top coat if I’m applying it at home.
My laptop keys rejoice now that they’re not covered with glossy polish remnants. I simply can’t fight the urge to email/surf the net when I have wet nails. Anyone who uses my laptop asks why I’ve “decorated” my keys with glossy clear dollops. Do you do this, too? Tell me in the comments. Have a SUPER Memorial Day!
