It’s so cute! Makes you realize how boring it is to surround yourself with Americans all the time. Other cultures’ idiomatic phrases are so much more colorful. Glad you appreciate!
I agree with you. I wasn’t thrilled about the dress, but I did think her quote was too cute. In college, I had a friend whose first language wasn’t English – and she wrote the most wonderully expressive poetry…because she never used the hackneyed cliches that we English-speakers rely on. When Marion said sparkles and fireworks, it made me smile.
