Barbieville, Population: Too Many

Sometimes, at work, I have to do say, a PowerPoint presentation that’s somewhat like one that I did on something similar a few months prior. So you know, I “leverage”(to use corporate speak) an old one and simply fill in the new information. It appears the creators of Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County have done the same thing with the Laguna Beach template. Down to the Hilary Duff theme song and introductory narration by fill in newly-crowned celebutante-in-training-hot-blonde’s name here set against “Ready to Ride”. I mean, given that Laguna is already inspired by The O.C., it’s like… too many repackaged versions of the same thing, n’est-ce pas? But who am I kidding? You and I both know I’ll be watching every episode.

But I do want to reach into my TV and spray Allie‘s VERY processed hair with my PureOlogy ColourMax. I know it’s a live-and-learn situation, but I am so over seeing single-processed hair turned into cotton ball-consistency platinum. There are a few people who can pull this off, but there are a few conditions:

*That your hair be naturally golden/dirty blond to BEGIN with so you don’t showcase vomitatious roots on a regular.

*That you either embrace your curls or let your hair dry naturally straight the majority of the time to salvage your hair from the twin perils of peroxide AND heat tools.

*That you use a SERIOUS conditioner every time you wash your hair. Lately, I’m enjoying PureOlogy SuperStraight and Kerastase Oleo-Relax Mask.

If you plum refuse to adhere to the above (as Allie demonstrably has), I suggest you spritz on PureOlogy ColourMax after washing hair and before heading to the beach. It’s a leave-in treatment that detangles, conditions, and protects color. This lightweight spray contains Heliogenol, a concentrated sunflower seed cake extract that protects against sun rays while repairing existing damage. It also evens out porosity, especially in sun damaged and highlighted hair. To use, spray liberally to towel-dried hair post-shampoo/conditioner. Do not rinse. It’s $18 for 8.5 oz: get on board.

I would also like to say that the lead girl for this new Newport show has the same teeth as LC from Laguna, making them look eerily similar.
Even if it is just like it, I’ll watch it and I won’t deny that I do!!!!
