The latest mascara review from BBJ’s Official Mascara Correspondent Ashleigh Ciucci is L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara ($9). In Ashleigh’s words:

Now this mascara is like a pair of Converse sneakers; it doesn’t look like much in the packaging, I know that I’m going to be happy with it and it’s a great go-to accessory! With the medium-sized densely fluffed brush, I was able to get to each and every lash with ease.  The first coat was quite wet and brought a lot of density at the roots, which I love.  

The second coat brought what I like to call “good clumps.”  My lashes were gathered together in little bunches at the roots, but managed to taper together naturally at the tips. We’re not talking Tammy Faye lashes, so don’t get scared.  We’re talking wearable drama.  

My afternoon touch-up gave me reinforced depth at the roots, but not much beyond that.  My facial cleanser removed most of the product at the end of the night, I just needed to use a bit of makeup remover for the slight raccoon-y-ness left behind.  I’d buy this mascara in bulk!
