Ted Gibson styled Jessica Chastain‘s hair for her event at the Film Society at Lincoln Center, “A Conversation With Jessica Chastain,” on Friday. Here’s how to get the look, courtesy of Ted. 


“In the middle of backstage beauty, I’ve spent the past two days with Jessica Chastain, it girl of it girls.  On the last leg of press for her movie Zero Dark Thirty, I styled her hair for all day for Japanese press. 

The redhead of the moment loves her hair down and effortless. To offset the little black dress she wore to her event, A Conversation with Jessica Chastain at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, I opted for a center-parted ‘do.  To achieve the softly waved, tousled look I used Build It Blowdrying Spray and blow dried hair with a round brush to add volume and texture. I then applied fix it gel to the ends for smoothness. Next, I used a medium barrel curling iron and wrapped the hair around the barrel for soft waves. Finish with beautiful hold hairspray.”
