To me Estee Lauder is classic American beauty.  While it’s a forever leader in the industry I don’t always have crushes on their products. So when I went to test this mascara, I started with a yawn.  “Oh, just a black tube, basic mascara, I get it…” No, no, no, I can admit I was wrong.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Knockout Defining Life + Fan Mascara Mascara boasts short stiff rubbery bristles get product to each and every baby lash. There is major separation, it’s almost like I can see each hair has been combed through. There’s a bit of play time so I got the ultimate fanned-out effect before even moving on to my second coat. I kept my second pass to just my roots because the ends looked to perfectly tapered.  I was a little disappointed to see subtly flaking by the afternoon but damn, my lashes looked great! I did need the added elbow grease of eye makeup remover at the end of the night.

Despite the slight misstep of the flaking and the sticks-like-glue formula, I really liked the pay-off of this mazzie.  I very well might be a Lauder convert.  I started with a yawn but I’m ending with a yell: BUY THIS!
