Katy Perry’s ’80s living room mauve dress and bump-it left much to be desired, but her makeup was spot on. Makeup artist Todd Delano did the makeup honors. Here, the beauty breakdown, in Todd’s words.
“For Katy’s Golden Globe look I began by prepping her skin with COVERGIRL TruBlend Primer for Combination Skin. Next, I applied Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation in Buff Beige to give her a luminous look that would last throughout the award show. I warmed up her skin with TruBlend Bronzer in Medium and added a pop of rosy color to her cheeks with TruBlend Blush in Medium Rose.
The eyes were the main focus for Katy’s look so I began by blending the new TruNaked Eye Shadow Palette in Nudes using the matte colors over the eye lid. These palettes are incredibly smooth, really blendable and deliver awesome color! I then did a thick cat eye using TruNaked Waterproof Eyeliner Duo in Mocha Ebony. No eye look is complete without big, voluminous lashes, so I used two coats of COVERGIRL Plumpify Mascara by blastPRO. This mascara has become a staple in my kit, because it lifts the lashes from the root so they appear darker, fuller and more noticeable – definitely a new favorite!
To complete Katy’s look, I wanted her lips to go seamlessly with her soft pink gown, so I applied Colorlicious OhSugar! in Sprinkle, which gave her the perfect wash of pink that nicely brought everything together.”
