I love, love, LOVED this mascara upon its launch (“I was super happy excited mega kawaii about my lashes.”), so I looked forward to trying the bright blue version.  With one application of two coats, my lashes did look electric blue and were full and long and dense at the roots.  However, about an hour later I checked myself out in the mirror (don’t judge me) and I noticed that the blue had faded and my lashes looked like I only had one coat of mazzie on.

I was able to touch up the color and fullness without clumping but wasn’t a little disappointed at the need to do so.  Because I had three applications (another in the eve before dinner), there was quite a bit of product to scrub off at night.  While I love the original, this colored version is a little high-maintenance for my taste.
