Gals, I’m on a whirlwind trip tomorrow to L.A., returning on Wednesday evening. As my gal Beth pointed out, it’s all very rock and roll band of us. So I had to make it all work in my carry-on to breeze in for  a day and night on the west coast in the most Russell Hammond of Stillwater manner. Comme Des Garcons Embossed Makeup Bag ($141) It comes in the most refreshing green hue and doubles as a clutch.

Tom Ford Nastasya Cat-eye Sunglasses ($380) I fell for these HARD when I saw Leslie Mann rocking them in “The Other Woman.” I’m in a monogamous relationship with Tom Ford cat-eye shades. Why mess with perfection? I only switch them up with Wayfarers for running and outdoor athletic activities.

Cambiami Sandals ($85 for one sole style and two interchangeable straps) Super-plush soles in either black or nude and straps you switch out per your whim? It’s no longer a brown or black shoe/bag situation depending on the one shoes you packed. In short? It’s a traveler’s DREAM. Cambiami means “change me” in Italian, by the by. These sandals are chic enough for dinner al fresco, but comfortable enough (and boast enough traction) for a hike amid Grecian ruins without having to resort to massively unsexy sneakers.

Chloe Oliver The Breadyn Top ($145) I’m not very L.A. but the one west-coast thing I bring regularly in the NYC (other than Tupac, RIP) is TIE-DYE and lots of it. This top makes me feel ’70s chic like Karen Arnold of The Wonder Years instantly. I pair it with shorts or jeans and dress it up with gold jewelry.

Dallas and Carlos Alpha Necklace ($120) Por ejemplo, I pity the FOOL who doesn’t love this initial necklace. Two parts gorge, one part rapper, one part Mr. T. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
