Official Mascara Correspondent Ashleigh Ciucci test-drove Estee Lauder Sumptuous Infinite Mascara. Her review, below.
I have one word to describe what kinda lash this mascara gives you: Twiggy! Totally mod lashes despite it being a bit of work to get there. The mascara itself is very wet and the firm rubbery brush can cause you to apply too much product (for some reason, I kept getting it onto my lids.) After I wiped a bit off the brush, I got tons of coverage and length with tapered tips. There were clumps, but “Twiggy” clumps: groupings of lashes with tapered tips. There’s a lot of playtime to achieve this look and you should really quit while you’re ahead with one coat.
The second coat wasn’t even possible because my lashes were IN PLACE and would’ve turned Tammy Faye if I tried to pile on more product. The same thing goes with the afternoon touch-up: it’s far too dry.
Because of the richness of it’s formula, this mazzie requires eye makeup remover and soap and water to remove. Despite this, the end result is lovely: buy this one!
