Pantone has named Radiant Orchid the color of the year (and look, it’s in the 18 “phylum,” just like Rouge18, which is named after this shade). This hue is rich, it’s pretty, it’s obviously girly and it’s going to look great on your MOUTH. Here are some new products to rock immediately in the tone.

Maybelline Color Elixir in Dashing Orchid ($9)

The best gloss consistency I’ve used in a long time, this sponge-applicator creamy lacquer nourishes lips while imparting a gleam on the level of Mandy Moore’s “Missing you like candy; love always, Mandy” lips of yore.

BITE Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Violet ($24)
This is a matte spin on the Pantone color. Bite’s luxe formulas keep lips looking festive without pout dry-out, nor a reflective finish.
