Yes, she does the same pompadour bang every time, but I maintain that that is a hairstyle that works well for Tina Fey. Here’s how to get her Emmys look, courtesy of Remington Celebrity Stylist Richard Marin.
“For Tina’s style this year, I went for a swept back look with an edge. I pulled the hair off the face with volume at the bangs and added twists pulled back into loose tendrils at the back of the head,” explains Richard. Here’s the step-by-step.
Blow dry hair upside down to create volume.
Curl with a large barrel iron (Marin recommends Remington’s Keratin Therapy 1 1/2 inch Curling Wand) to get bend.
Backcomb the bang area for height.
Twist 2-inch sections starting above the ear, drag the hair back and secure with a pin at the back center leaving the ends out. Repeat until you have a pompadour on top of the head with tight sides and the ends loose.
Apply pomade to reduce frizz and you’re ready for the red carpet!
What do you think of Tina Fey’s Emmys hairstyle? Do you love it or wish she’d switch it up?
