Emma Stone‘s nails for last night’s 2012 Met Gala came courtesy of nail guru to the stars, Elle Gerstein. I just got off the phone with her, and here’s how she got that bright blue hue. Read on for the details.

“For Emma’s nails we wanted to match her really cool bright teal blue she had on toes. The Lanvin designers wanted to do unusual color to compliment her dress. To achieve that blue, I mixed Revlon‘s Surf with the brand’s Blue Mosaic”

I LOVE a turquoise and red moment and even decorated my last apartment in that color scheme. Elle also shared that unusual hues like chocolate brown, olive and mustard are really hot right now.
