Official Mascara Correspondent Ashleigh Ciucci takes Borghese Superiore State-of-the-Art Mascara for a stare spin this week. How does she fare? Read on…
Borghese isn’t usually a brand that I use, so I was looking forward trying their Superiore mascara. to start, the tube is fancy fun; twisted silver with rounded ends and a gold band harken a high-end mascara experience. With a medium-sized tapered brush, my first coat went on evenly and with good coverage.
My lashes were light, wispy and tapered. the look is soft and fluffy and could easily be a good day look for the light-makeup wearer. the second layer brought a fun spiky separation to my lashes (almost like MAC #7 falsies.) The formula didn’t harden quickly, so I had some good playtime to get my lashes where I wanted them. It also held my lashes with a nice curl due to the silk-powder formula (this natural fiber will hold the lashes and pigment in place without flaking or smudging.)
My afternoon touch-up was good, but the tips weren’t all that adherent. I kept the boost at the roots with all these bells and whistles, it also came off easy with soap and water! this baby moves up to the top of my current fave list!
