For the People’s Choice Awards stylist Mark Townsend gave The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence a straight ponytail with lots of texture to go with her Viktor & Rolf dress. Here’s how to get the look, straight from Mark.

“I started by adding a large dollop of Dove Body and Lift Volumizing mousse to her hair and blow dried with a large round brush. To give the hair volume and that great “second day” texture I sprayed Oribe Dry Texture spray all over and then gathered the hair into a ponytail and secured with an elastic. I went back with my fingers to loosen up the hair around the hairline and give it more of an editorial feel. I finished by spraying Dove Extra Hold Hairspray all over to make sure the hair stayed in place all night.”
