At her Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Week show, Tracy Reese presented a bright, feminine line for the girl that’s all about comfortable and classic style. Tresemme‘s Jeanie Syfu was enlisted to create a “beautiful and simple” hair look. The collection had a 40’s-50’s influence that is very feminine, and the hair reflected this romantic feel. I like how it’s elaborate, but fairly simple to pull off.
Here’s how to achieve this look on your own.
Step 1: Apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse to damp hair and flip head upside down, rough blow drying hair with fingers until completely dry. (Stylist note: if hair is on the frizzier side, use a brush instead of fingers).
Step 2: Flip head upright and starting from the nape of the neck, take 2″ sections and mist with TRESemmé Thermal Creating Curl Activator Spray.
Step 3: Roll each section of hair with fingers and set with a wide flat iron on high heat, then clip into place and continue setting the hair to the top of the head.
Step 4: Once hair is cooled, remove clips and lightly mist with TRESemmé Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo and lightly brush through with a flat brush for an airy texture.
Step 5: Take a section from ear to ear over the top of the head and then through to the center. On each side, using your hands, gather each section and over direct it upwards, rolling hair loosely above the eye level and fasten into place with hair pins. (Stylist note: to make the look more modern, try not to over style the rolls. Keep them a little loose and even).
Step 6: Pull the remaining length to one side of the head.
