I’ll tell you this: No day is the same in the life of me. These days anyway. It was all very rap lyric–because, to invoke the late great Biggie Smalls (pour out some of your Borba Skin Drink out of respect) I ACTUALLY have mad friends with Benzes (no need to be greedy).

Why? Because yesterday, I jetted around in a Mercedes-Benz (the brand’s on Twitter: @MBUSA) new 2012 CLS63 AMG Fashion Force vehicle along to the streets of Manhattan looking for New Yorkers who stand out with unique stylish looks. The CLS63 AMG Fashion Force car was outfitted in its official badging and people kept asking if I was the Fashion Police. We drove all around 5th Avenue, the Meatpacking District and the West Village looking for the fashionably fabulous. Once I spotted someone with steal-worthy sartorial style, I’d yell “stop!” to the driver (I’d asked him if maybe we should have a codeword like “purple” but, alas, “stop” it was), jump out, accost said stylish New Yorker and ask then for a pic in front of the official #FashionForce vehicle. Lastly, Mercedes is also sponsoring AMG Polo in Miami this weekend and have partnered with La Martina to create a custom Mercedes polo shirt. Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters. The exclusive, limited-edition design includes a special “I [heart] Horsepower” patch and AMG logo. The shirts ($175, both women’s and mens) will be sold in conjunction with the AMG Miami Beach Polo World Cup with 100% of the proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters, and a goal of raising a total of $15,000 in support of the cause. Purchase at the La Martina boutique on-site at the tournament and at La Martina stores.
