Elizabeth Taylor has passed away, ABC News has confirmed.
The actress and legendary husband collector died from congestive heart failure. She was 79. The epic Cleopatra star was hospitalized last month for heart failure, and also underwent heart surgery in 2009.
To me, she is THE quintessential brunette. The violet eyes, the jet-black mane. She was striking and harbored an elegance many have tried to recreate–some successfully (Alexis Colby Carrington) and some un (Michael Jackson). I’ll miss her sauciness, present in her annual White Diamond fragrance commercial, when she exclaims, “These have always brought me luck” before flinging a pair of dangly earrings down the tabletop.
RIP, Liz.

“husband collector” – hahaha! She was a famous DIAMOND collector, too. She did have a unique look, and some memorable film roles!
