Doesn’t Zooey Deschanel look stunning here? She always makes me want to cut some blunt bangs. Here’s how to get Zooey’s look at the premiere of “My Idiot Brother” at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Hairstylist Creighton Bowman and makeup artist Sonia Lee worked with the starlet to get her ready for her closeup.

Sonia prepped her skin with Votre Vu skin care before applying very light makeup:

“I started with SpecialEyes Intensive Eye Treatment, Champagne Kisses Enhancing Lip Balm and Tragic Magic Rescue Crème for a good nourishing base all over the face, eyes and lips – which is essential in the weather we have at Sundance. Then, I used Amour d’Ore multi-vitamin oil for face, body and hair, applied some Luxee Yeux Eye Beauty Balm for even more moisture around the eyes, and finished with Attentive Crème de Nuit for sensitive skin. These really soothed her skin for a long-lasting fresh look.”

Here is how Creighton achieved Zooey’s glossy, flowing hairstyle:

“Starting on towel-dried hair, I used Leonor Greyl Lait Luminescence Bi-Phase detangling milk sprayed on the ends. Then, from root to ends, I used Mousse Au Lotus Volumatrice volumizing mousse to give lift at the crown. I used a medium sized round brush to smoothe her hair. Then I gave a light spraying of Condition Naturelle heat protecting spray all over. Using a 1″ curling iron, I created soft waves to her super long hair. Perfect for a winter Sundance look!”
