The Beauty Product from Another Country I’m Irrationally Obsessed With column features international beauty gems that cross my path about which I feel you, the reader, are on a need-to-know.
Pour some tea, fix yourself a crumpet and let’s start bemoaning the bastardization of our language by “the colonies” over elevensies: Brit beauty brand Marks & Spencer’s Essential Colours Nail Varnish has me craving a cross-Atlantic cruise. When I spied the mint green M&S nail varnish (I’m so UK!) featured on one of my fave beauty blogs beaut.ie a few months ago, I all but got the vapors. I so wanted that mint polish in my lifestyle, stat. But alas, like Tabio, Selfridge’s, better selections at Topshop and All Saints, charming men and manners, I’ll have to fly six hours to get it.
And if that exotic rogue “u” in “colours” doesn’t delight you, seeing the product in its natural habitat on the UK-run M&S’s website boasting its price in pounds will.
