The What’s On Your Vanity Series showcases a single beauty item a blogger loves because it’s effective, but also she feels she must keep out on top of her vanity because the gorgeous packaging must be displayed.

The fabulous Hope Schmid is one half of the fabulous blog, The Jet Set Girls. (The equally fabulous Anne Fritz comprises the other half). The site features fashion and beauty with a girls’ getaway travel bent. I met Hope last summer at a beauty blogger conference and was much impressed by her commitment to daytime sequins. I like your style, Hope. Her on-vanity item?  Ted Gibson Beautiful Hold Hairspray. Here’s why, in Hope’s words:

I haven’t worn hairspray in years, but since I’ve recently had bangs cut, I’m back in the market. I forgot how my bangs had a mind of their own, due to the couple of crazy cowlicks on my temples. Hairspray helps keep them in check.
