Dior Capture Totale One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum

Hi girls! Happy New! Let’s get down to 2010 beauty business, ‘kay?

I’m uncomfortable in such extreme cold weather; my people are a desert people. As such, I find it rude that I live in a climate that precludes comfort even with my sleeping bag coat, scarf, hat and gloves. Considering this winter is by far the most appallingly chilling one I’ve experienced since the rude New England awakening that was my college sojourn in Boston, I’ve declared serum necessary. The reason is this: It provides an extra barrier against the wind.

One such fabulous, if a bit spendy serum that came into my life is Dior Capture Totale One Essential Skin Boosting Super Serum*. Its lightweight formula is quick-penetrating, doesn’t impart a greasy feel and actually works to eliminate toxins on the skin’s surface to correct signs of aging. I, in an effort to regain the skin of my Revlon Virtual Violet era epidermis of my youth, have been slathering it all over my face, neck and decollete over my moisturizer with wild abandon. It makes my skin feel moist and fresh, despite dry air and gales of fast-blowing wind.

The purpose of the serum is to use it UNDER your moisturiser, to boost its effects…the serum will have no in-depth effects if applied over top of another product as it cannot penetrate into the skin properly

There’s been a lot of wind lately in my neck of the woods, so I swear by L’Bel Paris’s Préventive line of skincare. Of course, I *am* a L’Bel rep, but I have not found another product that keeps my skin feeling moisturized and so healthy without that oily effect so common with other moisturizers. It’s way better than wearing a ski mask 24/7, ha!

Ricky’s NYC has a lot of affordable name-brand makeup available in store and on their website (www.rickysnyc.com), including their exclusive makeup line called Mattese Elite. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re interested.
